       People are conditioned ALL their lives; by their parents, according to their culture, their philosophical-theological beliefs, and then- by the values, or lack thereof, of the society within which they were raised.      
What are the prevalent influences in society today; external and immediate irresponsible gratification; a commodification of other human beings, and without a true sense of appreciation or compassion for ‘the other’.  People in immense cities are lonely, but don’t know ‘how-to-connect’, and feel unworthy, unloved, but don’t know why.        You can’t give what you don’t have~ If you don’t love yourself- how can you love another?     
Sleeplessness can add greatly to instability, and a sense of estrangement from fellow life-forms altogether, breeding a sense of isolation, leading to resentment, anger, despair.
Self-examination is imperative, but it takes work, devotion, self-Love.       We can be taught to care about the world, by learning how to care about ourselves as a microcosm of the world, and the Earth as an expansion of ourselves.                       What do you see deep in the eyes of another?
