”Room at the End of the Hall”. 11 x 14”/ Oil Pastels, Pencil on Acid-Free Strathmore Watercolor paper.

The building is pretty quiet, but for the creaking of the floorboards, and a difficult-to-hear low conversation which seems to be emanating from the open door ahead.       And then there’s that unusually  bright, erratically flickering light in the stairwell.       With my back against the second floor landing wall~  I can look straight down the hallway.   I see there IS another room beyond that open door.   And, maybe that’s where that soft conversation is coming from, instead of the opened door.      I see the woodwork bordering the doorway to the hallway, is well-oiled, and is constructed with very wide plank boards, and so I must presume this is a rather old building.       Great light, & a nice feel to the structure, but I’m undecided as to whether or not I could stay here overnight.

This is a personal favorite of the artist, and it has elicited a good many comments from those who feel they may have “been in a building just like that”, at some time.

This original piece is available for an imaginative individual who has been looking for another place to send their mind.
