The Past~ those illusive memories, nearly forgotten moments which keeps us cemented into a time which, for all our Herculean efforts, cannot be recalled correctly, but still make us doubt our origins, our history, and then our present circumstances.       They keep us looking back, regretting and second-guessing that which is irreparable, and better left alone.       It keeps us from focusing on our goals of NOW, and Who and How we want to be perceived to be NOW.     If we ‘re-write’ our past, if only in our minds, we can encourage ourselves, hypnotically, to achieve what we, in the past, were never taught to believe was within our grasp.
       These mental exercises are not delusional, but are a rewriting of personal experiences, perceptions, instilled mostly by less than fortunate childhood experiences.       Women, in this present society, are not treated as being equal, though different, from Men, but from cradle to grave are handed unreasonable, diametrically opposing feats to accomplish, and are rarely recognized for their innate abilities, and accomplishments.
The dichotomy,artificially created and encouraged, between men and women does nothing for either; but fosters a seemingly eternal struggle which is neither ‘natural’ or advantageous for either, but only serves those who would seek to manipulate us, by pitting us against each other.        IF we were all to disregard all judgmental proclamations heaped upon us at birth, replace them with a more inspiring back-story, it would do wonders for our self-image, and therefore our self confidence as a society.
‘United We Stand, Divided We Fall’ is the maxim which comes immediately to mind.          Something which we would all do well to keep in the forefront of our minds.
