What do ‘you’ do when people abuse their position of power? Whether it’s their
managerial position at a department store discriminating against children, the elderly,
or people not of one’s own race~ there is no excuse; that manager obviously cannot
hold that position responsibly, so they must be replaced and/or reprimanded. And
what about positions which affect people in a more profound way…as in being
physically wounded? How many times does THAT set of circumstances have to
present itself before it is effectively dealt with by reprimand or by removal, and with
criminal charges?! If a private citizen were set upon by a dog at the command of
their neighbor~ even if it were said this was done because theft was involved… what
would the consequences be for the dog owner? A fine or incarceration, no doubt.
And what about people who have their dogs attack defenseless people and allow it to
continue even after they’ve been subdued~ unnecessarily mauling them, perhaps even
fatally?! And IF these ‘people’ were hiding behind a badge of their profession~ and
act with impunity? WHO allows it to continue unabated? WHO gave them the ‘go-
ahead’ to begin with~ and WHAT does that say about the mental-emotional-spiritual
developmental state of our present society and the leaders who were elected to
‘maintain peace’?! What would YOU do to maintain peace? WHAT have you done in
the past?
